Clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Jodie Castellani began her career working as an executive administrative assistant both in the US and abroad before receiving both her BA and Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. While at UTK, Castellani was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and the Psi Chi Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Psychology Students. Castellani was one of approximately eight students nationwide awarded the American Psychological Association/ SAMSHA Minority Clinical Training Fellowship, and had the distinct honor of winning the fellowship three times. In addition to the general work of her private practice, Dr. Jodie Castellani contracts her expertise to the Tennessee court system as a forensic psychologist. Dr. Castellani is often called upon by both private and public attorneys to evaluate the competency of individuals involved in legal proceedings. She has been asked to make assessments of Competency to Stand Trial, child custody recommendations, and Mental Condition at the Time of the Alleged Crime Dr. Jodie Castellani has also made evaluations in conservatorship, fitness for duty and pre-employment evaluations. When she is not working, Dr. Jodie Castellani is very active in her community. Several times a year she offers pro-bono psychological evaluations for under-privileged persons in the Knoxville area. She also works with several area charities, including Mission of Hope, the United Way, and other church and community services. Dr. Jodie Castellani is a member of the Tennessee Psychological Association, The Southeastern Association of Psychological Assessment Society (SAPAS) and the National Register of Psychologists.
